2013-10-03 Today we had to face the fact that we were not going to get to Yosemite on this trip. So, this morning was spent in arranging alternate plans. We couldn't really reach any firm decisions on where to go out of town and eventually just settled on spending a couple more days in SF.

We were able to stay an additional night in our B-n-B and book an hotel in the city for Friday night. With the details sorted out, we headed out for a visit to the Legion of Honour which had an "Impressionists on the water" exhibit, along with a great number of Rodin sculptures.

The art museum is on top of a hill, surrounded by a golf course and commands great views back towards the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay. So we had a brief wander around to take in said views, before heading down then hill on the bus back towards Golden Gate park. We found the bison in the park and after admiring them for awhile headed back to our home away from home.

We bought some crumbed chicken strips and a green salad from the local supermarket and ate that in our flat. Having achieved a relatively low calorie and inexpensive meal, we blew it badly by going out to The Ice Cream Bar and indulging. It is only a 5 minute walk from where we are staying, so it is probably just as well that we only discovered it on our last night!
