We stayed the night just south of Napier at the Te Awanga Motor Park. A sleepy caravan park that kind of just forgot to move forward
after around 1965... They gave us a spot right on the beach and this was the view we had in the morning.

Napier is in the Hawke's bay region, which is also home to lots of New Zealand winneries. We spent the morning at a couple and after
lunch drove up Te Mata peak. The climb was winding, narrow and a bit hair raising in the van. The view was breathtaking.
